You can tell I am reading and looking at Auerbachs work!?  Auerbach and Giacometti both digging to the essence and finding the line - deciding what is important and not geting muddled in 'is it a nice painting?' - forget that - This is visual exploration with oil and a tug of war between warm and cool colours that landed well! Perhaps it's a landscape - it reminded me of Lanyon when I'd finished however  - it is mine - and I am really pleased with this!
