Dogs
My dog paintings aren’t fully resolved—and that’s the point. They’re gestures, moments, personalities caught mid-motion. Each one is a character, sometimes a caricature, always a presence. I’ve got a big heart for dogs.
I’ve painted other people’s dogs too—each with their own quirks and soul. Even my simplest sketches carry depth: six or seven layers, each drying before the next settles in. The paint sits on top, but sinks in just enough to hold the memory of what came before.
These works are playful, tender, and a little wild—like dogs themselves.
