Clematis, Sunflower and berries in Leach jug1

I planted a white Clematis by the fence and it did nothing for years - until it did! Now in spring it shows off its little white lights and bightens the garden, covering the fence and having a go at climbing over everything else! It reminded me that sometimes it takes a while to put down roots before you can flourish!
Oh and the jug is from The Leach potteries founded by Bernard Leach in St Ives. Their work is robust yet elegant and a joy to use - and paint!
This series is painted on beautiful thick hand made Indian paper with deckled edges.
