Sketches

​

The sketch is the first contact between hand and eye, subject and materials. The energy of that moment cannot be replicated; it’s imbued with feeling and emotion—a raw and honest response. I usually work fast, asking myself as I draw what of what I am seeing seems to be important right now. For me, sketching is an exercise in motion, a process of looking and responding.

Each mark records curiosity and connection, capturing the fleeting spark that drew me to the subject in the first place.
