Colours of Life

Spring 2022 saw Colours of Life bloom in the cosy setting of Burdall’s Yard, where a more sophisticated curatorial approach allowed my work to unfold as a visual narrative. The show built gradually, culminating in large mixed-media canvases of overgrown roses — bursting with colour, fine observation, and sustained energy.

This exhibition explored the tension between control and wildness, with brushwork ranging from delicate to raw. The pieces reflected a deeper comprehension of form and arrangement, while retaining the expressive joy that defines my practice. It was a celebration of colour, life, and the emotional resonance of paint.
